InfoSpot terms of use

Last updated: 2026-10-21.

These terms apply to the InfoSpot app and to the website https://infospot.es. By using them you accept these terms. InfoSpot is made by Daniel Acevedo Facal (Spain), contact soporte@infospot.es.

What you may do

Use InfoSpot for your own fishing and outdoor activities: look at the maps, the reservoir levels, the weather and the estimated depth, and keep your own spots and tracks.

The estimated depth maps

The estimated depth maps (colours, depth lines, depth at a point and the files behind them) are InfoSpot’s own work, built from public satellite images and terrain models with a substantial investment of time and effort. They are protected as a database under Directive 96/9/EC and the Spanish Intellectual Property Law (articles 133 to 137, sui generis right of the database maker), in addition to any copyright.

You may not, without written permission:

The depth maps carry identifying marks that make it possible to recognise copies. InfoSpot keeps records of unusual use of its servers (see the privacy policy) and may take legal action against anyone who breaks these terms.

Other data

Base maps, historical photos, reservoir levels and weather come from public services under their own licences (listed in the app under Settings → Legal, and in the README). These terms do not change those licences.

No warranty

InfoSpot is a beta. It is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, and you use it at your own risk. The estimated depth has not been checked against measured depths: do not use it, the map or the GPS as your only navigation aid or for safety decisions on the water. The author is not liable for any damage arising from its use, except where the law does not allow this to be excluded.

Changes and law

These terms may change; the date above shows the last change. They are governed by Spanish law.
